Fresco by Vertigo

Hand-held fruit analyser

Fresco is a novel sensing technique, that allows to check the internal quality of fresh fruits, without destroying them.

The project involved arranging the internal elements, creating a design that efficiently houses the components and making a visual prototype that has the same weight as the working device will.

Prototype of a handheld fruit scanner, that can measure the ripeness of certain fruits.
The prototype was built from SLS and SLA 3D printed parts and store-bought components. The parts were painted, and glued together with heavy screws to achieve the real weight.
